Where can I get fingerprinted?

Fingerprinting is available at the Montpelier Police Station during City Hall business hours when staff is available. There is a $5 fee

What are your operating hours?

The Montpelier Police Department is also available. If you are attempting to contact Montpelier Police Department outside of City Hall hours you can call dispatch at 208.945.2121

I need a copy of an accident report, who do I contact?

You can stop by City Hall to fill out a Public Records Request Form or visit the Forms tab on this website and complete the Records Request online form.

Can the police do a background check for me?

The Montpelier Police Department does not provide background checks for the public.

An officer collected some of my items as evidence, am I able to get those items back?

Depending on the nature of your incident items collected by officers may be required to be kept in evidence during an investigation, other items that are eligible to be released back to the owner can be requested by contacting our evidence technician at 208.847.1324 ext. 103

I received a letter from the police department for ordinance violations, what do I do next?
